About this role:

The Recruiter Intern will be responsible for sourcing candidates through effective active recruitment of the candidate/talent pool. The Recruiter will utilize resourceful recruitment methods to grow and maintain the candidate/talent pool.

Qualifications/Nice to have background:

  • At least 2 years of working experience as a Recruiter either in Canada or overseas is an asset.
  • Experience with filling IT and Industrial roles is a huge asset.
  • A creative thinker who is able to strategize on where to find the best candidates and how to keep them loyal to you; you need to be tenacious and be able to find a needle in a haystack
  • Strong ability to source candidates on LinkedIn
  • Resourceful and sharp-minded professional with a good business sense – you understand the bottom line and find ways to go above and beyond to source the best candidates and meet your targets
  • Team spirit – but you are also internally motivated with a competitive spirit to succeed - Ability to handle multiple priorities, and handle fast-paced, high-energy days – you are OK with little structures
  • Strong writing skills to be able to woo candidates to apply to your openings with great ads and headhunting communications

Responsibilities & what you will learn during the internship:

  • Source and recruit qualified candidates for open mandates utilizing standard and non-traditional methods such as direct recruiting, mapping, and social networking sites
  • Phone candidates and book registration interviews
  • Market candidates to clients
  • Create and post open mandates on various media
  • Conduct daily registration interviews in person or over the phone, and input all required information into the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Present active candidates for open mandates to the placement staff
  • Maintain ongoing communication with candidates and ensure proper documentation in ATS as per the company's policies and procedures
  • Conduct reference checks on candidates when required
  • Prepare and coach candidates on resume presentations, client interviews, follow-ups, etc.
  • Ensure the daily, weekly, and monthly achievement of assigned objectives

Pay Structure & Work Hours:

  • It will start off as an unpaid role for 3 months and then transition into paid depending on your performance. 
  • Completely remote role with flexible hours between 10 AM to 6 PM.
