POSITION

Crossroads International is looking for an individual who has a good balance of analytical and problem-solving skills, is passionate about the human side of an organization, and has an interest in contributing to a growing volunteer cooperation program that is reducing poverty and advancing equality for women and girls in some of the world’s poorest countries. This position provides cross-functional support across the organization for the human resource elements related to volunteer mobilization and engagement.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creation and management of a volunteer CV database across all of the respective countries of volunteer mandates
  • Quality control, auditing and sifting of related documents within the organization
  • Formation and organization of volunteer mailing lists
  • Research for the creation of a Canada-wide event database; career expos & fairs, government fairs, university faculties, etc.
  • Development and audit of a volunteer questionnaire bank with the development of individual drafts according to volunteer mandates
  • Coordination of volunteer pre-screening interviews and surveys

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED

  • Facilitation of the migration of organization files to a new database
  • Provision of support for various administrative tasks 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Diploma of studies in a relevant field (completed or in progress), or equivalent experience
  • Experience and knowledge of international volunteering and/or relevant experience in adult education or human resource management;
  • Excellent language skills in English or French required, bilingualism a strong asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications (i.e., SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively and in a team
  • High level of autonomy and initiative

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS

  • Share Crossroads’ values and ethical standards, particularly:
    • A commitment to preventing, mitigating, and responding to sexual violence,
    • A commitment to gender equality, and
    • A commitment to anti-racism
  • Contribute a minimum of 7 hours per week
