Business Systems Analyst Role
• Solve business problems
• Understand stakeholders business requirements and their vision
• Understand current solution architectures and supporting technologies
• Gather facts, analyse supporting data, present possible options and implement designs, enhancements, corrections that address efficiency, process automation, cost reduction, ease of use
• Work within an agile team, with dynamic priorities and requirements
• Use tools and technologies including JIRA, Confluence, Visio/WebIO, XD or equivalent, Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Mandatory Requirements
• Proficiency in facilitating effective requirements gathering and confirmation meetings with stakeholders and development team
• Effective communication with stakeholders both internal and external and always at the right level of detail
• Competency in managing, communicating and presenting issues to the management team • Consistent, comprehensive & quality requirements documentation using standard templates and documentation tools
• Thoroughly defined use cases using standard templates and documentation tools
• Effecive progress reporting on projects according to established methodology • Proven ability to express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and written • Proven ability to handle basic administration functions involved with projects (i.e. researching products and or services etc.)
• Understanding and awareness of current and emerging relevant technologies • Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building, self-organization, and time-management skills
• Proven ability to adapt, be flexible, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment • Abiliy to understand the technical limitations and workarounds of the existing system • Ability to work closely in a team environment with both business users and developers, as well as independently, with changing priorities
• Experience in Agile methodologies
Additional Relevant Skills
• Acredited BSA certification would be an asset
• Willing to learn new skills on a regular basis, both on and off the job
• 3+ years practical experience in a software development environment (financial services an asset)
