Qualifications:

• College certificatefor welder/fitter or equivalent practical experience.
• Profcient in interpretation of blueprints and bill of materials.
• Safety training & WHMIS training certifcate or ability to obtain.
• Ability to assess the welds quality.
• Able to prepare parts lay-out

Preferred Assets:

• Experience in all types of elding processes.
• Good organizational skills and communication skills.
• Oral & written communication skills
• ISO quality training and/or experience in working in an ISO 9001 standard production environment.

Primay Function:

• Co-ordinate shop work for one job.
• Monitor the material receiving for the job that he/she is coordinating.
• Provide guidance to the workers that he/she coordinates.
• Ensure that all procedure specifications are followed.
• Check quality of workmanship, ensure traveler packages and ISO requiements are met for the job that he/she is coordinating
• Preform quality inspection and product release for incoming and in-process materials and compoments, processes and finished goods.
• Format daily ob schedules at the end of each day.
• Ensure shop is clean and safe at all times.
• Work closely with general foreman,technical manager, field supervisor and office administration on production schedules.
• Coordinatemultple trades-men and tasks and supervise jobs through completion.
• Perform manual fit-up operations and welding as required.
• Operate various hand tools and machinery usedin fabrication.
• All other related duties as required.

Skills Required

• Ability to supervize multiple tradesman & tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to oganize schedule, estimate and order materials.
• Ability to control man-hours and consumables on project.
• Ability to fabricate as per drawings and specs.
• Ability to inspect other people's work
• Safety orientation and training new employees on shop equipment.

• Keep equipment in good repair
